Match statements to paragraphs.

What you see on screen

Each statement has a dropdown of paragraph letters; you select where that information appears. Letters may repeat, and some paragraphs may go unused.

How it is marked

One mark per statement, and these questions ignore passage order. A note in the instructions tells you letters may be reused.

Strategy

  • Skim the passage's topic flow first so you know roughly where each theme sits.
  • Turn each statement into a search target, like 'a reason' or 'a comparison', before scanning.
  • Start with statements holding unusual words or numbers; they are fastest to locate by eye.
  • Answers ignore question order, so hunting statement one first often wastes the most time.

Traps that cost marks

  • Stopping at the first paragraph mentioning the topic when the specific detail sits two paragraphs later.

  • Forcing a fresh paragraph per statement when the rules allow letters to repeat.

Now try it under exam conditions.
