Timed sections, a question palette, flagging, highlights and one-play audio — the same controls the computer-delivered test puts in front of you.

Listening and Reading are marked instantly with exact rule-based scoring. Writing gets algorithmic feedback, and Speaking recordings are saved for review.

The same controls you will use on test day

Familiarity with the interface is part of the score. Practise with the real controls until none of them slow you down.

Server-timed sections

The clock runs on the server, so a refresh never buys extra time — just like the test centre.

Question palette

Jump between questions from the palette and see answered, unanswered and flagged states at a glance.

Flag and return

Mark a question to revisit, keep moving, and clear your flags before the section ends.

Autosave and recovery

Answers save as you work, and an attempt survives a reload or browser restart.

Learner perspectives

Practice built around what students need to feel ready

Familiar controls, current material and a realistic clock help turn uncertainty into a repeatable test-day routine.

I want the computer test screen to feel familiar before test day.

Test-day confidence

CD IELTS preparation online, answered

The short version of what this platform is, what it costs, and how the marking works.

What is CD IELTS preparation?

CD stands for computer-delivered. CD IELTS preparation means practising the IELTS test in the same on-screen format used at computer-delivered test centres: typed answers, on-screen timers, a question palette, highlights and one-play listening audio. Practising in that format builds both language skill and interface familiarity.

Is CD IELTS Prep free to use?

You can start free with no card: a free account includes one free practice item in every module — Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking — plus all study tools and question guides. The full library is available on Pro for $10 a month or $20 for 3 months.

How is my practice marked?

Listening and Reading are marked instantly with exact rule-based scoring, the same way the real test converts raw scores to bands. Writing receives algorithmic feedback on your response, and Speaking answers are recorded so you can play them back and review your performance.

How often is new material added?

Every week we add new Reading and Listening tests — predicted topics or tests based on recent exams. We always try to give you the best prediction and exam-style questions to practise, with updated material.

Does it cover both Academic and General Training?

Yes. Practice material covers both Academic and General Training, including Academic Task 1 reports, General Training letters, and full timed Listening, Reading and Writing mock tests.

Is CD IELTS Prep the official IELTS test?

No. CD IELTS Prep is an independent practice platform and is not affiliated with the IELTS test partners. It is built for online CD IELTS preparation — practice scores are estimates for study purposes, not official results.
