IELTS by destination
IELTS preparation for candidates in India
India sits among the world's largest IELTS markets, with candidates preparing for study in Canada, the UK, Australia and beyond, and for skilled-migration routes. Computer-delivered IELTS is now offered widely across Indian test centres — and practising in the same on-screen format is the preparation step most candidates skip.
Academic or General Training?
Choose IELTS Academic if your goal is university admission abroad — undergraduate, postgraduate or professional registration. Choose General Training for most migration pathways and for work experience streams. Listening and Speaking are identical across both; Reading and Writing Task 1 differ, and General Training Reading is scored on a harder conversion table, so practise against the right one.
Why the computer-delivered format rewards practice
On the computer test the audio plays once with no pause, Writing has no spell-check, the timer hides its seconds in the final minute, and answers are typed rather than transferred to a paper sheet — which also means there is no separate transfer time in Listening. Candidates switching from paper practice routinely lose marks to the interface rather than the English. Full mocks in the same interface make those behaviours automatic before test day.
Every mock here scores Listening and Reading instantly against the official-style band conversion, and the writing checker returns a structured four-criterion practice estimate, so each sitting ends with numbers you can act on rather than a wait.
A study routine that fits around work and college
The practice library is organised as numbered days — a complete timed Listening or Reading paper each day, roughly 30 to 60 minutes — so preparation fits into evenings rather than demanding whole weekends. The Mistake Bank collects every wrong answer across attempts, and the reports page breaks accuracy down by question type so you always know what tomorrow's session should target.

Frequently asked questions
Can I practise computer-delivered IELTS online from India?
Yes — every mock here runs in a browser and reproduces the computer-delivered interface used at test centres: one-play audio, timed sections, on-screen highlighting and typed answers.
Is the General Training Reading test easier than Academic?
The texts are less academic, but the band conversion is stricter: the same raw score earns roughly a band lower on General Training. Practising with GT-specific papers and the GT conversion table is essential.
How is Writing scored here?
The writing checker returns a structured practice estimate across the four official criteria — Task Achievement, Coherence and Cohesion, Lexical Resource, and Grammatical Range and Accuracy — clearly labelled as a practice estimate, not an examiner score.
