Bulk orders and seat licences
Licence CD IELTS Prep for a whole cohort — schools, coaching centres and universities — with teacher access, invoicing and onboarding handled by us.
A bulk order is a block of student seats plus teacher access to the institute workspace, set up and managed for you. It suits any group buying for other people rather than for themselves: a coaching centre putting three batches through mocks, a school running IELTS as a timetabled class, or a university preparing applicants for an entry requirement.
Everything described on this page exists on the platform today. What is not on this page is a price: volume pricing scales with seat count and term length, so we quote it per institute instead of publishing a list that would be wrong for most of them.
Who buys in bulk
Coaching centres
Put every batch on full computer-delivered mock tests and practice days instead of photocopied papers, and keep one record of how each student is progressing.
Schools and colleges
Run IELTS preparation as a timetabled class, with the same on-screen format your students will meet on test day and marking that does not eat teacher evenings.
Universities and pathway providers
Give applicants working towards an entry requirement structured, measurable practice, and see who is on track for the band their offer asks for.
How seat licences work
One seat, one student
A seat is a full Pro account for one named student — the whole library of mock tests, practice days, the writing bank and speaking sets. As on our individual plans, an account is licensed to one person: signing in on a new device signs the previous one out.
Teachers do not use seats
Teacher and admin access to the institute workspace is separate from student seats, so adding a second teacher to review speaking does not cost you a student place.
Seat usage is visible
The institute workspace shows how many of your seats are in use, so you can see at a glance whether the next intake fits inside your current licence.
Volume pricing
Volume pricing scales with the number of seats you licence and the length of the term. Rather than publish tiers that would misprice most institutes, we quote against your actual numbers — tell us the cohort size and the start date and you will get a written quote back by email.
Buying for a handful of learners rather than a cohort? Our published individual plans are usually the cheaper route, and we would rather point you at them than sell you a licence you do not need. If you are looking for a student, group or educator discount on those plans, see discounts.
Admin and teacher dashboards
Your staff sign in to the institute workspace at /institute. It is where the cohort is managed and where speaking gets its band:
- Cohort health — who is practising, who has gone quiet, and who needs following up.
- Assignments with submission progress, so you can see completion across a batch rather than chasing individuals.
- A speaking review queue: teachers listen to student recordings and award the band themselves, from 1 to 9 in half-band steps, with a comment.
- Instant Listening and Reading marking against published answer keys, with band conversion a teacher can audit line by line.
- Score reports for every attempt, so a student leaves each mock with something concrete to work on.
We never estimate Speaking with an algorithm. The real test is assessed live by an examiner, so on our platform a teacher listens and awards the band, and that band appears on the student’s score report.
Invoicing and procurement
Billed as one order, not as students
Institutional orders are arranged with our team rather than through the self-serve card checkout, so your students never have to pay individually or expense anything back to you.
Tell us what finance needs
Purchase orders, a specific billing entity, a particular currency, supplier onboarding forms — send us the requirements with your enquiry and we will confirm in writing what we can meet before you commit to anything.
How onboarding works
Tell us your numbers
Send us your cohort size, when you want to start, and how you run batches. Onboarding is done with us directly rather than self-serve, so nothing gets provisioned before we have agreed the shape of it.
We quote and set up
We price against the seat count and term you need, then create your teacher access and your students' accounts. There is no licence server to run and nothing to install in your lab.
Your batches start practising
Students sit mocks and practice days and get instant marking; teachers track progress and band speaking recordings from the review queue.
What to include in your enquiry
The more of this you send in the first message, the sooner you get a real quote back instead of a round of questions:
- How many students you need seats for, and whether that is one intake or a rolling one.
- When you want access to start and how long you need it for.
- The split between IELTS Academic and General Training in your cohort.
- How your batches are organised, and how many teachers need workspace access.
- The billing entity, country and currency you need to be invoiced in.
- Anything your procurement process requires from a supplier before an order can be raised.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a bulk order cost?
Volume pricing scales with the number of seats and the length of the term, and it is quoted per institute rather than published as a price list. Tell us your cohort size and start date and we will put a written quote together.
Is there a minimum order size?
Bulk licensing is aimed at whole classes and cohorts rather than a handful of individual learners. If you only need a few accounts, the published individual plans on our pricing page are usually the cheaper route. Ask us and we will tell you honestly which one fits.
Can we pay by invoice or purchase order?
Institutional orders are handled by our team rather than through the self-serve checkout, so tell us what your finance department needs — the billing entity, the currency, and any purchase order or supplier paperwork — and we will work to it where we can.
What happens when we add students mid-term?
Get in touch and we will add the seats. Because seat usage is visible in the institute workspace, you can see how much headroom is left in your licence before you ask.
Do our teachers get their own accounts?
Yes. Teacher and admin access to the institute workspace is set up during onboarding and is separate from the student seats you licence.
Can our teachers upload their own materials?
Not currently. All practice material comes from our library — full mock tests plus listening and reading practice days — with new predicted and recent-exam-style material added every week.
Tell us your cohort size and we will quote
Send the numbers and the dates. We will come back by email with a written quote and what onboarding would look like for your centre.
